The download is free, but you must be a member of the Computer & Technology Section in order to use the app. You can learn how to access the app here.
  2. TCDLA App is an app made specifically for the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association. Although like the Texas Bar Legal app, the TCDLA version has a far more extensive list of criminal-related rules and statutes. You can download the app for the Android and iPhone/iPad/iTouch. The download is free, but you must be a member of TCDLA to use the app.

60 Apps in 60 Minutes — List of Apps, Part 1

June 26, 2011

The Section presented 60 Apps in 60 Minutes before the State Bar Annual Meeting in San Antonio. There was a quick write up about it in the Texas Lawyer Blog. Many people have approached us for the list of apps that were presented. This posting is the first of several that will list the apps that we mentioned during the presentation.

  1. ShareMyApps: This is the app for Android users that makes it very easy for you to send a list of your apps (with hyperlinks to the App Market) to other people via email.
  2. Pulse: This is a newsreader app that aggregates several sources into one nice neat package
  3. QRDroid: This app is used for reading and generating “QR Codes<.a>” that can be used with smartphones and other devices.
  4. Flipboard: This is an easy-to-use news reader for the iPad. Great features that mimmic a paper magazine.
  5. MotionX-GPS: Android users already have built-in GPS navigation. Sadly, iPhones don’t have that built-in functionality. MotionX-GPS fills that gap for Apple users.

The next five apps in a subsequent post.
